MRD’s GMAP is
going to be finalized by the end of July. Funding is needed for
this workshop.

Delay due to
a limited commitment from MoC, MIME, Secretariat of Civil Service
(SCS), and MoWRAM at the start. Moreover, many national holidays
fell in April and June. However, the process of GMAPs preparation
is on the right track. GMAPs are expected to be finalized by
November, 2006. |
To finalize
MRD’s GMAP, US$ 2,225 is needed to run the workshop.
In general,
it has been observed that the budget allocated for the development
of GMAP in each ministry is very limited which may make the whole
process difficult. It is suggested more budget be allocated for
this activity from line Ministries and Donors.
GMAG team
members need ToT training on basic gender mainstreaming and
assistance in developing GMAPs. |

three Researches : 1- Gender Assessment of the Cambodian Civil

3- Where did all the day cares go? A gender Analysis of Child
Care Practice, Time Poverty and Employment choices for poor Women.
The research findings have been shared with stakeholders and are
being reviewed. |

1.3. Monitor
and support implementation of NSDP including development of
gender-responsive sector wise plans |
NSDP was
approved by the Council of Ministers in January and in April the
Ministry of Planning established Senior Working Group and Core
Group for monitoring the implementation of NSDP. MoWA is not a
member of this working group yet. MoWA sent a request to MoP for
permission to have MoWA representative in the Core Group. |

The MOP
should include MOWA representative in the Working Group on the

TOT training on Capacity Building to District Women’s Affairs to

the 12 remaining provinces and municipalities. With WfP, MoWA
received technical and financial support from UNICEF, UNFPA
& PLG/Seila to run these activities for all 24 provinces

National
Committee to Support Commune (NCSC) issued guideline to the
provincial and commune councils to allocate budget for salary and
operation cost to support Women and Children Focal Points.

train the commune council in June 2006.

manual on DV and the Law for the National Role Out Training to

Trafficking law with MoJ on December 2, 2005 prior to COM. |

Draft of the
Anti-trafficking law is being discussed further on the definition
of Trafficking at the TWG on legal and justice system reform,
Ministry of Justice. |
GDCC should
encourage TWG on legal and Judicial Reform to consider this Law as
their priority because it is one of JMI under their
responsibility. |

Terminology took place with MoWA, UNDP, JICA in May 2006. A
Gender Terminology Committee was established in November, 2005.
