In progress
A draft Action Plan for the Establishment of the Road Maintenance
Management System in Cambodia has been prepared. This Action Plan
will be wisely enhanced under the up-coming Road Asset Management
Project financed by World Bank, ADB, AuSAID and RGC. However, parts
of the works in the action plans are already well ahead and are
implemented on a pilot basis due to urgent requirement. This is the
case for some sections of the draft “Guidelines for Maintenance
Works” that was urgently required for quality control of the
maintenance activities since 2007.
Preparation of the Bidding Documents for the Periodical Maintenance of
four contract packages was completed in early February 2008.
Invitation to Bid is under preparation.
“Distribution plan of overload control-related equipments” and “Draft
guidelines for overload control team” are completed. The draft is
being reviewed by the Overload Working Group |
1. Further technical discussion is under way for the finalization of
some draft Guidelines
2. Technical Trainings on the Use of the Guidelines to the Provincial
Department of Public Works & Transport are required

The Line
Ministries and Development Partners are jointly working together on
Road Maintenance System. MPWT’s continued efforts to improve road
maintenance supported by JICA and the up-coming Road Asset Management
Project funded by WB, ADB, AuSAID and RGC are keys to the success of
addressing this issue |
- The
comprehensive implementation arrangements for the up-coming Road Asset
Management Project are being finalized. The Project aims at the
improving the efficiency of the National Road Maintenance System
- Continuing
effort to improve road maintenance supported by JICA |
Lack of
experiences of line ministries in out-sourcing road maintenance works |

-
Please
provide details of your TWG's resource mobilisation efforts since the
June 2007 CDCF meeting (including identified resource needs, actual
commitments and source of funds, and remaining gaps) and the extent to
which these resource mobilisation efforts are linked to an Action Plan
or sector programme that includes a budget framework for programming
resources and activities within the domain of the TWG.
JICA has provided
financial assistance to IRITWG in selection of local consultants for
preparation of the
National
Comprehensive Axle Overload Control Program
-
Does the TWG
have sufficient resources to manage the workload identified in its
Annual Workplan? No
-
Has your TWG
submitted a request for support to CDC/CRDB
? Yes
-
